Adaptor Sleeves for Metric Shafts - Adaptor sleeves are used to secure bearings having a tapered bore onto a cylindrical shaft seating, they facilitate bearing mounting and discounting and often simplify bearing arrangment design. Adaptor slevves are the more popular as they enable bearings to be mounted on smooth shafts as well as stepped shafts.
